Kate’s lovely mom, Ellen told us that Kate and Sebastian were lucky to find us. Honestly, we were the ones who truly benefitted from meeting them. From the phone conversations where we understood that we were similar people in spirit, to finally meeting them on our trip to Brooklyn, New York where we ate sushi and talked until the wee hours…. They love the city, and thrive in it’s energy, but East Poultney, Vermont is special… a sacred space for them and where they decided to get married at Kate’s family homestead… The day was filled with friendships and family who travelled from all over the world to spend the day with them… We would do it again in a heartbeat….
As Morgan’s words touch her so….
it is evident there is rebirth here…
From the far off Hills…
to the tiny nest…
Tiny sweet details and blue suede shoes…
4 inch gold heels reflect Brooklyn,
as the hand-hammered, reclaimed organic wedding rings
are one of a kind
like this amazing place…
Kate’s beautiful Maid of Honor, Adria
Since they were 12… and before the city
Tears welled behind my lens,
as she described what their friendship meant to her…
And on the cool check in
Center stage on the mic
And we’re puttin’ it on wax
It’s the new style… The Beastie Boys
First dance reveals
Sebastians incredible NOON tattoo…
part of which holds a heart
which he designed for Kate…
There is so much that we took away from this wedding… from the beauty of the surroundings, to the amazing, fresh food, and open arms we were welcomed with… We became enamored with this place, and these people. Kate’s gentle strength I so admire, her quiet contemplative smile, and the beautiful connection Joe had with Sebastian, Emil & Tom left us feeling like we were leaving friends behind.. and in hopes we would catch up again soon… We left renewed by all the love we had experienced and it was by far the most spiritual of weddings we had encountered… we will always be grateful…
