Love Local Gift Guide :: 2020

2020 has not been kind to many Cape Cod small businesses, but Cape Cod’s restaurants are taking some of the hardest hits. They have been dealing with reduced capacity, reduced demand, ever-changing guidelines on how they can operate, a smaller workforce, and some difficult-to-please customers. By many accounts local restaurant owners have had to change their business models multiple times in the last 8 months in order to make it through, all while doing their best to be careful and safe. To honor this struggle, Love Live Local invited owners and staff members from across Cape Cod to take a break from their masks, get styled in outfits from local boutiques and share their beautiful spaces where they continue to serve the community in so many ways. Although the future for independent restaurants remains uncertain, and will require support from everyone from customers to policymakers on Beacon Hill, many continue to meet this moment with creativity, grit and determination.

We were thrilled to be able to work with the incredible people at Love Live Local to create this year’s guide. That we got to work alongside some of our favorite and most familiar fellow industry people is just the icing on the cake.

We will all see one another on the other side of this and forever be stronger together from what we experienced through this time that asked us to bend but did not see us break.
