“I’m interested in the things that are harder to talk about. Manipulation. Power. Noise. Unfounded or founded desire.” Nicolas Jaar
The Ceremony was held at the historic First Congregational Parish, which was a beautiful walk from Dan’s family home where he got ready with all of his groomsmen, friends & family around him…Dan is a local surfer when on the Cape, and he & his extremely loyal friends had to hold back from going out on the water on his wedding day so we had to take a few images of them and their boards of course. Trish spent time with her best people, and then chose to get ready alone with just her sister, Angela who does fabulous hair and makeup… They truly have a special bond I felt honored to see. Trish chose a lace dress with a blush silk lining and matching ribbon with a jewel encrusted brooch…it took my breath when she put it on… truly incredible. Trish is a designer, and her impeccable taste led her to choose Truro Vineyards for their reception. The gorgeous Tidewater Sailcloth Tent with clear sides was provided by Party Cape Cod , and was situated at the front of the property, still allowing for views of the beautiful Vineyard from all sides. Living in Brooklyn, and being foodies – they of course had to choose the wonderful Shannon Mahoney of Sumptuous Catering, and the best singularly crafted pastries from the famous PB Boulangerie in Wellfleet. Hand- painted magnets featuring Truro Vineyards were gifts to all of the guests that traveled from all over the world for this unique celebration. Stephanie Foster Flowers and Sharyn Lindsey provided Organic centerpieces for the tables for the cocktail hour under the pavilion, and arrangements that peppered the Vineyard with it’s lush lawn, green leaves and ripe grapes. If this all wasn’t stunning enough, Trish & Dan followed this wedding with another… A traditional Vietnamese Wedding! … (in hopes they share those images with us!)
We are so thankful to Trish & Dan who put careful consideration into every moment of their wedding day, allotting plenty of time for the images they requested, and our ideas to unfold – therefore what you see are highly unscripted; real moments only being with each other without pressure can create… Their first look was early at Pamet Harbor, and it was the perfect quiet time to photograph them so excited, and in love… The Ceremony was extremely meaningful with their friend, Anay officiating , a candle lighting by both sets of parents, and tearful words spoken by Trish’s Man of Honor ; Casey. A few family photos at the Church, and then we headed straight to the Vineyards for a few more images, laughs, and wine & Hors D’oeuvres brought out on a platter in the middle of the Vineyard by the wonderful Shannon Mahoney… There are so many reasons this wedding was amazing… but truly it is just Trish & Dan. <3
